Definition: A code-mixing term used by Hong Kong local students to refer to the quality of being rough or even unkind, in addition to being strict in following rules or standards.

Usage: E.g. 個professor好charm啊，但係有少少harsh... (The professor is very charming, but is a little harsh.)

Definition: (adj) A code-mixing term that Hong Kongers use to describe something that is advanced in technology.  There is a famous quote that goes "High Tech揩野，Low Tech撈野", which describes the volatility of high-tech products as opposed to low-tech products that have a larger market despite high competition.

Definition: A code-mixing term used by working class Hong Kongers to refer to an employee with an experienced background, but not necessarily the adequate skills to do the job.

Usage: E.g. 我條team條senior，叫佢廢物都覺得侮辱左廢物依個詞語，日日例牌遲到都算，咩都唔識 (E.g. As for my team's senior, I think it would even be an insult to the word 'rubbish' if I were to call him rubbish. Not only is he late every day, but also he does not know anything.)

Definition: A code-mixing phrase used by native Hong Kongers to describe someone as not having good judgement rather than lacking general knowledge, even though it can refer to both of these things when scolding someone.

Usage: E.g. Common sense 常人應該刷覺到既感通/道理 eg. 今日個女同事打扮得特別靚噴曬香水,放工應該有約會, 個晚最好唔好叫人OT (Common sense is what ordinary people should be aware of using their senses or reasoning. For example, if a female colleague dressed particularly well and sprayed perfume today, then you can guess they probably have a date after work. So you better not ask her to work overtime that night.) E.g. 你有冇common sense架？呢啲咁既野你自己google吓咪得囉！(Do you have common sense? For this kind of stuff you just need to google it yourself!)
